Okonjima is a family-owned and run nature reserve located between Etosha and Windhoek in central Namibia. It is famous for being the home of the AfriCat Foundation, an organisation that works to conserve and rehabilitate Namibia’s threatened carnivores that are rescued from conflict with livestock farmers. Importantly the animals are released into the wild wherever possible.
Activities at the Nature Reserve focus on viewing and learning about the carnivores activities include tracking leopard, cheetah, lion and wild dog as well as the opportunity to learn about the Africat Foundation and make a real difference to conservation.
