Do you operate globally?
Yes! Hekaya can curate travel packages for travelers across the globe and is happy to give advise on your travel plans based on where you live or choose to travel from.
Where should I go if it is my first time in Africa?
It’s hard to say, Africa has so much to offer and see! If you are unsure where to start, feel free to reach out directly to us at info@hekayafrica.com and we can have a chat with you to better understand what you are looking for!

How many destinations does Hekaya operate in?
Hekaya operates in 8 countries and in more than 25 areas within these countries. The countries we currently operate in are:

How long does it take to receive my customized travel package?
We will always aim to have your travel package ready and sent back to you within 2 to 3 working days. This time is used to properly ensure we have understood your special requests and come up with a suitable travel experience.
Can you book my flight tickets?
We take care of local flights within the country, as this is all part of the experience! We are also able to facilitate international flight tickets for you, however, this is not included in the travel package costs.
Can you handle my visa application?
We will try our best to facilitate visa applications when possible, but we cannot guarantee your application.
My travel plans have changed, can I change my dates?
Prior to finalizing any travel plan, we will always let you know what the change policy is and how this might affect your travel plan.
My travel plans have been cancelled, can I get a refund?
Prior to finalizing any travel plan, we will always let you know what the cancellation and refund policy is and how this might affect your travel plan. We are in the business of full transparency and would make sure you have the flexibility you need.
What methods of payment do you take?
Hekaya offers online payments through MasterCard, Visa, Amex and Stripe. You can also make a bank wire transfer if that suits you.
Changes & Cancellation Policy
Here at Hekaya we understand that travel plans change constantly and flexibility is key while planning a trip.
Due to the nature of our very tailored trips, change and cancellation policies may differ between itineraries. As a result, we will always include your change and cancellation policies that apply to your specific trip when we send your unique Travel Itinerary Package. This will be sent to you before you make any payment.

Visa Information
Zambia separates nationalities into 2 categories, those that need to apply for a Zambia visa and those that are exempt from this process. If you are not a citizen of a country that is exempt, then you must buy a visa either at your port of entry or a Zambian Mission abroad. You can Apply online via the e-Visa facility, which can be accessed here. Processing time for e-visas generally takes between 3 and 5 working days.
The KAZA Uni-Visa: This visa available for a standard fee of US$50 allows access to Zimbabwe or Zambia and is valid for 30 days as long as you remain in Zimbabwe or Zambia. You can cross into Zimbabwe/Zambia as frequently as you like within the 30 day period.

The following countries do not need a Namibian Visa:
Angola, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Eswatini, Azerbaijan Belarus, Belgium, Botswana, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Lesotho, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Macau (SAR), Malaysia, Malawi, Mauritius, Moldova, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russian Federation, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Hong Kong, Luxemburg and Mozambique.

Visas are easily obtainable upon arrival in Rwanda, whether at the International Airport in Kigali or at one of the land entry points. They can also be obtained online before travel, and either paid for online or at the port of entry.

Seychelles is a visa-free country, meaning anyone can visit the country for tourism purposes for up to 30 days. Visa’s aren’t required to visit Seychelles, but a visitor’s permit will be issued at the airport when you arrive. It’s an easy process, but there are some requirements.
