Linyanti

Remote and Exclusive Wilderness

Botswana

The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve is one of Botswana’s most beautiful and yet undiscovered wilderness areas. In the reserve is the Selinda Spillway, a shallow channel that connects the Okavango Delta to the Linyanti and Chobe River systems and is renowned as one of the best game viewing areas in the region. It supports a great diversity of wildlife with large herds of buffalo and elephant in the dry season. Thousands of zebra congregate here in the winter before migrating. Lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog are also all found.

The area is known for being a hidden gem tucked away in the north-eastern corner of Chobe National Park and you can expect fantastic game viewing throughout the year without the crowds. The region boasts lagoons, riverine forests, huge trees and palm tree islands. Walking safaris, night drives and off-road driving are allowed, making it easier to find and follow animals (from a respectful distance of course).
