Mchenja is a  stunning camp next to the Luangwa river surrounded by massive mahogany trees. The camp consists of 5 stylishly designed tents each under its own thatched roof and with a deck in front overlooking the Luangwa River. The game viewing in this area is superb and night drives are usually very worthwhile. The camp is nicely balanced: small enough to have a personal feel and yet well equipped with everything you might need. The suites bring style and comfort to an authentic safari experience. The tents have clawfoot tubs inside and outside showers.  Watch the river meandering past through the floor to ceiling windows. There is a small pool in the central area which also has a dining space, lounge and a bar. Gathering around the fire for breakfast or pre-dinner dinner drinks you can soak up the sounds of the hippos in the water below.
