Mfuwe Lodge has 18 thatched chalets with covered verandas overlooking 2 lagoons which are near-constantly visited by wildlife. Each has a comfortable sitting room and en-suite bathroom with spacious walk-in showers. There are 3 family rooms and children are welcomed and treated as part of the family. Babysitting is available and the solid rooms provide more safety than most although supervision is necessary. The lodge is 5 minutes drive from the main gate, in a busier area of the park for visitors but it offers excellent game viewing and ease of access. The lodge is well known for having elephants regularly wandering right through the lobby, lured by a nearby wild mango tree. Facilities include a library, pool, lovely central areas and a spa. Daily game drives are led by an experienced team of guides and night drives are available. Walking safaris can be arranged on request and visits to the local village, school and handicraft market are a lovely addition.
