Kaingo Bush Camp offers superb walking safaris in a remote part of South Luangwa National Park. Kaingo offers only 6 chalets, each with their own private deck overhanging the river. Each chalet boasts an outdoor bath, with views of hippo in the river. Glass sliding doors that allow unobstructed views of the river right from your bed. A special feature of Kaingo is its animal-watching hides which offer spectacular close-up opportunities to observe animals in their natural environment. The emphasis here is on being eco friendly and the entire camp is solar-powered. The menu also features local farm produce. As with most camps, morning and afternoon game drives and walks are offered, but Kaingo also offers a third activity at midday. The area’s lion viewing is productive and leopard viewing is almost guaranteed. Guests can enjoy a sleep out at a hide situated high up in the boughs of a tree on the riverbank.
