Chongwe Camp’s 9 rooms are placed along the forested riverbanks at the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers. The beautiful backdrop of the mountainous escarpment offers one of Africa’s most scenic vistas.  The safari tents with en suite bathrooms are decorated in a rustic African style. Natural materials such as wood, reed and stone feature prominently and give the feeling that you are one with the landscape; as do the open-air showers and beautiful river views. On land, enjoy game drives and walking safaris, or explore the water with boat cruises, canoeing safaris and fishing. In camp, a wildlife hide caters to photographers and is open at night so you can capture rarely seen nocturnal animals. The forested valley is a haven for wildlife and birdlife.
